Rev. A.F. (Bud) Penner was born & raised on a farm in Saskatchewan near
the town of Gouldtown, where he befriended the pastor of the local Mennonite church.
(Gouldtown Gospel Church, though now closed, became a member of the AGC) Through
this pastor, Bud was encouraged to attend Briercrest High School in Caronport, SK.
It was there that Bud came to know the Lord.
Bud pastored several AGC churches. These include:
- Lake Gospel Church (now Ellis Ave), Hamilton, ON from 1967
- Bethel Church, Kingston, ON from 1972
- Crossroads Community Church, Calgary, AB from 1978

Committee. Crossroads Community Church grew out of the efforts of many committed
Christians, including Bud and his wife Beulah, and has now spread to include 4 churches.
From 1985-1989, Bud served the AGC as Western Region Superintendent, and then pastored
Grandview Baptist Church in Kitchener, ON from 1989 - 1995. He has also been involved
in the AGC as Central Region Chair and as a National Board member from 1998-2000.
Bud became President of the AGC in September, 2000. He and his
wife Beulah are parents to 2 daughters, both married, and are proud grandparents

John Friesen - Graduating with a degree in Leisure Studies isn't something many
people like to publicize, however, for John this has been the springboard for a diversity
of experiences from managing the operations of a large theme park to a senior consultant
for the tourism industry and most recently in serving as Executive Director of Fair
Havens Ministries. These experiences have given John an understanding of the challenges
and joys of leading visionary ministry programming while at the same time managing
all the day to day business of camp operations. John also services as Chair of the
National Board for Christian Camping International/Canada (CCI/Canada)
Both John and his wife Lisa thoroughly enjoy life with the five wonderful, high
energy children who inhabit their household ("where have those kids gotten to again
dear?").

Donna Leung was raised in a loving Christian home in
Burlington, Ontario where her family attended Brant Bible Church (now Compass Point Bible Church).
During the mid-seventies, when the church had a thriving bus ministry, Donna met her future
husband, a “bus kid” who attended Sunday School at Brant. Married since 1989, Wayne and Donna are
parents to Delia and Jacob.
After several years of working at various jobs, including piano teacher and floral designer, Donna
began volunteering at the Brant Bible Church office and discovered the joy of working in church
ministry. With encouragement from Bud Penner, and feeling God calling her to greater service,
Donna put her newfound skills into fulltime ministry and joined the AGC office staff as
Administrative Assistant in 1999.
Having spent many childhood years in piano and voice lessons, Donna now uses her musical abilities
in the choir and worship teams at Compass Point. The family enjoys lots of time spent with
grandparents, the Leungs who live right in the same neighbourhood, and the Englands who volunteer
at Fair Havens Bible Conference and live near the camp.

Church Relations Coordinator Susan Page grew up in the
Hamilton/Burlington area. As a young girl she gave her heart to the Lord while attending a
Vacation Bible School program. Soon after that she encouraged her parents to attend church
after being taken by a neighbor to the Salvation Army Sunday School.
She met her husband Geoff while attending a Salvation Army Music Camp. As young parents with two
daughters they decided to attend their local AGC church after enrolling their girls in the Christian
School that was associated with the church. Susan soon became involved in ministry at the school, in
charge of Fund Raising and Development after having enjoyed working at the local christian bookstore
for many years. Following that she has been assisting in a chiropractic clinic part time and in 2004
she joined the staff of the AGC.
Susan and Geoff have two daughters, their oldest Christina serving with Wycliffe in Southeast Asia and
their youngest Jenn attending McMaster University.
Susan enjoys biking and hiking, reading and photography. Her passion is to be used by God as He directs.
She loves leading a small group and being an encouragement to others in a lay-counseling role. Geoff and
Susan attend Compass Point Bible Church.
