We invite all Canada East churches to the 2008 Regional Conference of AGC Canada East.

We will gather at Redeemer University College at Ancaster, Ontario on Thursday, June 5, 2008 for this year’s conference.

Registration will begin at 3:00 pm. The Conference Session will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. The National AGC Conference will follow. It begins with a Welcome BBQ at 6:30 pm.  Your National Conference registration includes the Regional conference.  For more information on National Conference, click here

The 2008 Canada East Regional Conference is a strategic transitional time in the leadership of our Association. We will be voting on a new Regional Superintendent, Rev. Dr. George Boyd, and giving our blessing to our current Regional Superintendent, Dr. Bill Fietje as he moves into the role of AGC President.

Introducing… Rev. Dr. George Boyd
George has been involved in pastoral ministry for over 20 years as an associate, a bi-vocational church planter, and senior pastor. He has served in the following AGC Churches:

- Peoples Church, Sarnia-Lambton, ON

- Southside Bible Church, Winnipeg, MB

- Calvary Church, Saskatoon, SK

- Grace Chapel, Oakville, ON

- Compass Point Bible Church, Burlington, ON

He completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Briercrest Schools in Saskatchewan and, more recently, a doctorate from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. George’s life-long ambition is to be a developing servant-leader who is helping others to become all that God intends them to become through Biblical preaching/teaching, words of encouragement, and an inspiring example. George and his wife Cynthia live in Burlington. They have three adult sons who have left the “nest” to pursue their academic and athletic goals.

The Canada East Council has made the following motion;

“Moved that George Boyd be approved as the candidate for Canada East Superintendent beginning July 1, 2008, to be approved by the National Board on February 18, 2008 and the Canada East Conference on June 5, 2008.”

The National Board approved this motion on February 18, 2008.

Delegates to the Canada East Conference will be asked to vote on the following;

I approve the motion to appoint Rev. Dr. George Boyd as Superintendent of Canada East beginning July 1, 2008.
