The following announcement is from AGC Moderator, Rev. Dave Collins on behalf of the AGC National Board;

We have recently completed the Canada West and Canada East Conferences, during which a segment of each was devoted to AGC National Business.

The main agenda item was a vote to affirm the AGC National Board recommendation that Rev. Dr. Bill Fietje be appointed President of the AGC effective July 1, 2008. This vote passed with a 98% majority. This is a marvellous endorsement of Bill for this position. We believe he is the right person for the future of the AGC in the years to come.

Meanwhile, Bud Penner will continue as President until Bill’s installation in June 2008 at our National Conference in Hamilton, Ontario. We are hoping for a record attendance at this Conference to farewell Bud and Beulah, and to welcome Bill and Lois. The date of the Conference is yet to be finalized, but it will be either May 29^th – June 1^st, 2008 or June 5^th – 8^th, 2008. Mark your calendars now!
