Getaway this year has been called by many leaders and students as the best one ever. The core team was pleased to see 384 people attend this years retreat. Phil Cann our guest speaker is a gifted communicator and story teller. The Hanger (meeting place) was silent and echoed with Phil’s voice as both student and leader tracked with Phil. Many students made a decision for Christ, while others wrestled with issues in their lives. 

Muskoka Woods facility was the perfect place for this years retreat. With an indoor skate park for students and leaders, the field house (gym) hosted a number of inflatables from Niagara Inflatables along with basketball and volleyball. The Hanger (meeting place) for our sessions was large enough to give everyone leg room. And so much more.

The core team (John, Doug, Joel, Terry) would like to thank all the churches that participated this year; in helping to make this year’s retreat run smoothly and effectively for the kingdom of Christ. The team has met and gone over the evaluations and have begun to dream, share, and plan next years retreat in 2009. We are grateful to God for what he is doing among students and using the retreat to impact both students and leaders for the rest of their lives.
