Jan 16th – We just received this update from Bill: “The meetings, all six, have been excellent.  The same lessons were taught in both Nairobi and Mombasa to a total of nearly two hundred pastors, evangelists and leaders.  We found that while we were there to teach them to teach and preach, in return they taught us to worship even when facing overwhelming challenges .  These dear folks are all very poor in resources, but as is often the case, rich in spiritual fervour .  Every attendee received a gift from the things that we had sent ahead and took with us.  The pastors and evangelists all received a new bible and commentary set.  As we had known, the workers were poorly resourced and were so happy to receive the new books.   We also found that Pastor John Juma, the head of AGC Kenya, had surrounded himself with very mature and godly leaders all of whom understand the need of churches to work together to accomplish more.  We will wind down for a couple of days and then I fly home this Thursday. It has been a wonderful trip and we trust the Lord for good results..

Jan 10th - Bill Fietje and Raj Sandhu have arrived safely in Nairobi, Kenya and are staying with Raj’s sister.  Pray for them today as they begin pastor’s meetings and also as they try to clear the care packages and pastors paks that they brought with them through customs
