Looking for: Part-time Children's Ministries Coordinator

Position Description: We are seeking a mature Christian with ministry gifts and experience in Christian Education to direct the ministry of the church to children ages 3 to grade 5. This person should display a love for children and a desire to reach out in our community to help children experience a relationship with Jesus Christ. Must have good teaching and organizing skills, be energetic and enthusiastic in working with children and a team of workers.

Responsibilities:

· the supervision of weekly Sunday School, selecting curriculum, recruiting and training teachers.

· the supervision of our mid-week children’s Bible club, selecting curriculum, recruiting and training leaders.

· planning and supervision of outreach events primarily for young children and their families, including summer VBS.

· participate with other ministry staff and church events, setting an example to children and volunteers as a Christian, both in word and conduct and through faithful attendance as a member of Grace Gospel Church.

Qualifications: include training in Christian education with emphasis on children’s ministry, as well as teaching and supervisory experience in a Christian context. Applicant must be in theological and philosophical agreement with Grace Gospel Church and meet basic compatibility requirements of the Associated Gospel Churches.

This is a part-time position, 15 hours per week; 12 months per year. Flexibility of hours is assumed, based on CMC programming.
