Proposed NEW Statement of Faith

Posted by donna on January 29, 2013

A message from Rev. Glenn Rider, chair of the Doctrine & Credentials commission:

Dear AGC Family:

As you are aware, the National Doctrine and Credentials Commission has been working for the past two years on a revised Statement of Faith for our Association.

We are pleased at this time to make that Revision available to you

We have included:

1. A Working document (Proposed AGC Statement of Faith - working copy (Jan 2013)) that includes:

  • A Preamble explaining the rationale behind the Revision and the process we have followed in hearing from our Association’s Pastors and churches.
  • A layout that has been designed for ease of comparing the present Statement with the Revision.
  • The text as well as the references used in support of the Revision which will hopefully keep your task as simple and easy as possible.

2. A one page [two-sided] version of the Proposed AGC Statement of Faith (Jan 2013)

It is our intention to present the Proposed Statement of Faith at the Canada East and Canada West Regional Conferences in 2013 for acceptance.  In preparation for that, we are asking that each of our churches review the Proposed Statement of Faith at the Board level, so they can in turn instruct their delegates to the Conference as to how they should vote on behalf of your church.

If in the process, you have questions or would like things clarified, we invite you to forward them to me at the email address below and I will respond as quickly as possible.

On Behalf of the National Doctrine and Credentials Commission,

Glenn Rider Chair
